Regarding your question, I understand where you're coming from, and it makes sense because we have grown accustomed to treating prisoners in that manner. What if we try rehabilitation/restorative justice on certain prisoners like drug dealers/addicts and people who commit petty theft? I think some people can get behind that. Based on your reaction, it wouldn't be murderers getting a second chance. Slowly, things might change. We're already seeing programs implemented that help formerly incarcerated individuals like FCC's program, Rising Scholars. This is a huge step forward! At the end of the day, I would like to see more people reintegrated into society and be able to move on from their mistakes. Seeing programs like this might be a promising start.
