A car has a 12 gallon gas tank and a GPS. Write a rule for the total bill b as a function of the number of days d the car is rented. What is the bill for a 9 day rental? 



Answer :

First we have to find cost of gas.
12*3.80=45.6$ - it should be added to total cost
Cost for one day is 29+13.95=42.95$
We assume that d is number of days the car is rented.
So:
total cost=42.95d+45.60
Now we can find bill for a 9 day rental by just putting 9 as d.
total cost=42.95*9+45.60=432.15$ - result
