put the equation into slope-intercept form: y=mx+b
I'll do the first one and you try the second.
x-y=8 To move the x from the other side simply subtract it from both sides.
-y=8-x divide by negative 1 (because -y has a coefficient of -1)
y=-8+x rearrange...
y=x-8
You'll notice that the "m" from the top equation isn't shown. this means that it is 1 because x actually has a coefficient of 1 in front of it. This can be written as 1/1.
To graph start at (-8,0) and (because the m or slope is 1/1) Go up 1 and over 1 to the right then connect the dots to graph the line.
