I have to write a sentence and i don't get if you add a s to a word or not. Here's the sentence: The pleasant fragrance of gardenias and lilies flows to my nose.
Do I write flows or flow?

Answer :

I think it's flow, it sounds more correct. If you're not sure a thesaurus could five you a synonym to use.
When you change a verb to fit the subject, that's called conjugation.

I am, you are, he is, they are...

With most verbs, it goes like this.

I flow, you flow, he/she/it flows, we flow, they flow.

Though gardenias and lilies is plural, the fragrance is just one thing.

It would be flows, not flow.
