The “Declaration of Independence” was the document that
addressed colonists concern and grievances. This declaration gave equal rights
to the colonists as any other British citizen. In this declaration it was
written that no taxes can be implemented by the British Empire without the
consent of the colonists. The grievances of the colonists included the laws
passed by the British seemed unjust to them. The colonists also were unable to sell
the products they produced to any country except Britain. Also the British implemented high taxes on
products from other countries, so that the colonists had no other option but to
buy British products only.
