Thank you, Vonda, for your post. I was particularly interested in your mention of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety. It provoked me to think about CBT as an intervention for psoriasis. I found a study that included 765 participants to determine if CBT was effective in treating psoriasis. The study concluded that CBT is effective in the treatment of psoriasis in terms of area and severity reduction (Xiao et al., 2019) The study also revealed that CBT is more effective in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis than patients with mild psoriasis.
