Answer :

Divide the numerator and the denominator by 2.

[tex] \frac{10~divided~by~2}{14~divided~by~2} = \frac{5}{7} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{5}{7} [/tex] or 5:7 is equivalent to [tex] \frac{10}{14} [/tex]
to find an eqivalent ration the denominator and numerator have to be both mutiplied or dvided by the same number. 
For example: 10 time 2 = 20
14 times 2 = 28 
so 20/28 is equivalent to 10/14 :)
